Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This site is operated by Search Continue (“we”). The short version: we collect almost nothing, we sell nothing, and everything we do store is listed below.
What we collect
- Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store the email address you enter, with a timestamp and the IP address and browser user agent of the submission (to spot spam sign-ups), solely to send you the weekly journey email. We never sell or share it.
- Journey progress. The checkmarks you set on a journey page are stored in your browser’s
localStorageonly. They never leave your device and we cannot see them. - Server logs. Like nearly every website, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) for security and debugging, retained for a limited period.
What we don’t do
- No advertising or analytics trackers.
- No tracking cookies for advertising. This site itself sets no cookies on public pages.
- No selling, renting, or trading of personal data.
Third-party services
Our pages load the Space Grotesk and Space Mono typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches those font files, your IP address is transmitted to Google. See Google’s privacy policy for how they handle it. If you prefer, we may self-host the fonts in a future update.
Some journey steps carry a marked Product note. If those notes link to a retailer, the link may be an affiliate link (see our terms); the retailer’s own privacy policy applies on their site.
Browser extension
Our Search Continue browser extension saves the snippets and pages you choose into your browser’s chrome.storage.local — on your device only. It collects no personal data, sends nothing to us or any server, contains no analytics or tracking, and makes no network requests of its own. “Email to myself” simply opens your own mail app with the list pre-filled; you choose whether to send it. To erase everything the extension has saved, remove the extension or clear your browser’s data.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email, or by writing to us. You may also request a copy or deletion of any data we hold about you (in practice: your email address). Contact [email protected].
To clear your journey progress, clear this site’s data in your browser settings — it is stored only on your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes to how newsletter data is handled will be announced in the newsletter itself.
